What are some healthy breakfast sishes, lunch dishes and snacks that can Help Me Lose Weight? What are some healthy meat dishes for the following meats:

thank you i am desperatley trying to lose some weight and i do excersize at least an hour a day

For breakfast I usually eat Cheerio’s or Chex Mix with Skim Milk or Vanilla Soy Milk with a banana

or

Strawberry & Banana Milk Shake (serves 2)
1 Banana (frozen is best)
1 1/2 cup Skim Milk (or Soy Milk)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 tbsp cold pressed organic flax seed oil
Assemble blender and ensure glass base is secure. Add 1 cup of milk, banana, strawberries, and oil. Cover securely and blend on high 45 seconds.

For Dinner

I bake chicken breasts with sliced potatoes and carrots wrapped in tin foil for an hour at 350. I season it with pre-made chicken seasoning spices without msg. I add pepper and paprika.

I cook broccoli and cauliflower in the microwave with olive oil and Mrs Dash. It’s good and healthy!

Here’s what I am living by…

*I’m not a doctor or an expert but this is what I learned in a nutrition class. Always consult your doctor for your specific needs!

For overall good health

Do not smoke

Beware of saturated fats like red meat. Eat more chicken and fish.

Don’t eat hydrogenated fats like margarine

Eat monounsaturated fats as it lowers your LDL cholesterol and raises HDL (good) cholesterol
Eat olive oil, nuts, olives, avocado, dark chocolate

Eat polyunsaturated fats
Eat fish, soybeans, whole grain wheat, bananas, canola oil. Freshwater fish are not as healthy. Wild caught usually are healthier.

Exercise helps fight visceral fat and so does eating olive oil. This type of fat can cause disease and is around your organs. (this is very dangerous belly fat)

Fiber should be 25-50g per day

Soy Protein 25-35g per day

Cholesterol should be less than 300mg per day
(one egg yolk contains 230mg)

Sodium less than 3000mg per day

Fruits and Veggies 5-9 colorful servings. Usually the more color the healthier

Inflammation is caused by sugar, white flour, saturated fats, and hydrogenated fats. Keep your heart safe and eat healthy.

Keep a food diary to calculate fat, cholesterol, etc.

I believe pretzels are good but watch your salt intake. Popcorn is healthy but get without the butter.
